New desiccant with environmental friendly indicator system.The orange beads of this indicating gel make the control of the drying procedure simple and safe.During saturation the orange desiccant beads change their colour to light yellow and finally white.Colour changing starts after absorption of approx. 6 % (w/w) water, however, water is adsorbed further on. The total adsorption capacity is not affected by the colour indicator at all.Regeneration of this indicating gel is possible on the same temperature level as used for othertypes of silica gel (130 ?C - 160 ?C). During the regeneration process the colour will re-change from colourless to orange and the product is again ready to use
