The English Language Congregation (ELC) is one of the seven congregations that make up the National Evangelical Church in the Kingdom of Bahrain (NEC) and traces its hisÂÂtory to 1893 when Rev. Samuel Zwemer and his small team of missionaries from the Reformed Church in AmerÂÂica (RCA) arrived in Bahrain and established the first protesÂÂtant church in the AraÂÂbian Gulf.
